About Emoji Trove

Emoji Trove is a fast, free emoji reference built around one thing: copying emojis in a single tap. Browse by category, search by keyword, read what each emoji means, or grab a whole themed set at once.

How we source and verify content

Emoji names, Unicode codepoints and version numbers come directly from the public Unicode Standard and CLDR data, the same authority every platform uses. Meanings and usage notes are compiled from how emojis are actually used across texting, Instagram, TikTok and Discord, then reviewed by our editors for accuracy. When Unicode adds new emoji or a platform changes how emojis work, we update the affected pages and refresh the "last updated" date.

Why every emoji is a real character

Every emoji here is a real Unicode character rendered by your own device, not an image. That means when you copy one, you copy the actual character, so it works everywhere: iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, WhatsApp, Discord, Instagram, TikTok and X. Emoji artwork belongs to each vendor (Apple, Google, Samsung and others).
